To provide the student with the comprehensive knowledge of the ways and means to survive, both physically and mentally, in their role as a peace officer. Identify what correlation there is between an officer’s failures and mistakes and them being killed in the line of duty. Identify the benefits of developing values, proper mental conditioning, and a strong belief/faith system in the physical and mental survival of officers. Identify the basics of CISM and PTSD, and how they impact officer survival.
To receive Wyoming POST Credit, students must attend at least 90% of the course and actively participate.
Dress attire for this course is business casual or agency uniform.
