Introduce students to information concerning potential explosive devices, including basic device type, design, construction methods, and components. In addition, the effects of explosions are described as well as how to recognize the indicators of a possible criminal/terrorist act involving explosives. Students also discuss safety during incidents involving explosives and how awareness level personnel/responders might become targets of terrorists’ secondary devices.
