Students receive information and skills to understand and effectively deal with suicidal behavior in a detention setting. Topics include intake screening, managing suicidal inmates, classification of inmates, periods of high suicidal risk, situational factors, signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior, prevention, and methods of supervision.
