Course Summary
This course is designed for law enforcement officers to become proficient with the knowledge, skills and techniques, needed to operate a handgun mounted with a red dot sight (RDS) for duty use. Course will cover the fundamentals and capabilities of pistol mounted RDS, proper sight in techniques, and techniques for red dot acquisition.
Course Requirements
Students must be current certified law enforcement officers. Students should come to class with red dot already zeroed.

Equipment List
Handgun with red dot mounted optic and at least three magazines
Duty belt with holster and magazine pouch for handgun and magazines. Holsters must provide an active or passive retention device and be able to keep the handgun in place while running or moving in and out of awkward positions. Competitive shooting speed rigs are not allowed.
Any optic tools and spare batteries for optic
Eye protection (clear and dark lenses)
Hearing protection to include earmuffs or earplugs
1500 rounds of frangible ammunition in the caliber of student’s handgun
Handheld flashlight with extra batteries
Weapon mounted light (optional)
