Course Summary

The Patrol Rifle Operators Course is intended to pick up where the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy Basic Program ends. During the course, students will fire approximately 1,000 rounds of rifle ammo from ranges of 3 yards to 200 yards. Students will not only place rounds on paper targets, but also on steel targets.

Course Requirements

All students should be prepared to be active in kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, and laying in the prone position for extended periods of time.

Special Instructions

This course is offered at a reduced cost thanks to the Officer Education Training (OET) fund. The uniform for this course is appropriate range clothing. Students are required to bring their own ammo.
