Course Summary

To improve the student’s ability to recognize suspects who may be medically impaired or impaired by drugs or alcohol and to take appropriate action when they encounter such an inmate. Describe the observable signs generally associated with the major drug categories. Describe medical conditions and other situations that can produce similar signs. Describe appropriate procedures for dealing with drug, alcohol, or medically-impaired inmates.

Course Requirements

To receive Wyoming POST Credit, students must attend at least 90% of the course and actively participate.

Special Instructions

Dress attire for this course is business casual or agency uniform.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The WLEA dormitories will be under construction during this course. HOUSING FOR ADVANCED TRAINING STUDENTS IS NOT GUARANTEED. Students will be notified of housing availability after the course registration deadline.
