Course Summary

This dynamic course of instruction is designed to prepare

the first responder to isolate, distract, and neutralize an

active shooter.

  • This course will cover:
  • shooting and moving
  • threshold evaluation
  • concepts and principles of team movement
  • setting up for and room entry techniques
  • approach and breaching the crisis site
  • secondary responder tactics
  • improvised explosive devices
  • post engagement priorities of work.

 

The course will culminate with dynamic force-on-

force scenarios.

Sworn law enforcement officers

Special Instructions

There is no payment required when they register with the vendor. The flat fee for this course will be $130, which we will invoice the agencies after course completion.

 

Only 12 Spots availaible

 

All students must registar with ALERRT and WLEA through Acadis.

Equipment List

Good attitude, open mind, pen and paper, duty gear, body armor, groin protection, and appropriate clothing for

"force-on-force" training (i.e. long sleeve shirt,

gloves, etc.)

 

Head, eye, and throat protection will be

provided by ALERRT

IMPORTANT NOTE

The WLEA dormitories will be under construction during this course. HOUSING FOR ADVANCED TRAINING STUDENTS IS NOT GUARANTEED. Students will be notified of housing availability after the course registration deadline.
