Instructed by a cadre from the Wyoming Drug Evaluation and Classification Program, this course provides officers with a new comprehensive approach towards DUI enforcement to aid in the deterrence of DUI violations and thereby reducing the number of crashes, injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The course utilizes a practical session that involves administering and interpreting standardized field sobriety tests, a wet-lab so students have practical detection experience, writing correct and effective reports, and testifying experience in moot court. The course also includes training in PBT operation.
To receive Wyoming POST credit students must attend at least 90% of the course, pass all practical assessments, and pass the DUI written exam with at least a 70%.
