Advisory Board - The Academy advisory board was established by the director. The board is comprised of administrators and advisors from a wide selection of law enforcement agencies within the State of Wyoming. The membership of the board serves to advise the director and administration of the Academy in the development of curriculum recommendations and establishing student policy and procedures. In addition, the board's most important function is to serve as representatives of their peers to provide input and communication to the Academy which enables us to better serve the Wyoming law enforcement community.
Communication Training Advisory Board - The WLEA Communications Training Advisory Board consists of 14 members that represent a wide variety of communications officers, supervisors, administration and organizations involved in the Public Safety Emergency Communications field. The purpose of the board is to solicit input and feedback from the perspective of the special interest they represent, statewide, and then make recommendations to the Academy staff. Recommendations for training curriculum in the area of communications are then brought before the P.O.S.T. Commission. Anyone with suggestions or recommendations regarding training for communications personnel are encouraged to contact your respective representative. Click here to view CTAB operating procedures.
Detention Training Advisory Board - The WLEA Detention Training Advisory Board consists of 10 voting members that represent a wide variety of Detention officers, supervisors, and administrators involved in the detention/corrections field. The purpose of the board is to solicit input and feedback from the perspective of the special interest they represent, statewide, and then make recommendations to the Academy staff. Recommendations for training curriculum in the area of detention is then brought before the P.O.S.T. Commission. The Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy isseeking your input on how we may improve and enhance the training services thatwe provide you or your agency. In an effort to effectively review theseservices we are asking that you take a few minutes to complete our survey.
Your much needed input will allow us theopportunity to review the current services that we provide you, our customer,and examine how we may improve on these services.
Once the survey has been closed we will compileand review your responses to assess and determine what adjustments may beneeded. In addition to our self assessment we plan to take these findings toour WLEA Advisory Boards for their input as well.
