DETAILS:  Acting Chief Anthony "Tony" Nelson died on October 29, 1950.  Chief Nelson was responding to a disturbing call with two other officers when he suffered a fatal heart attack.  After collapsing, the officers attempted to drive him to the Powell Memorial hospital, however Chief Nelson died while en route.
