DATE OF INCIDENT: July 15, 1969

DETAILS: Deputy Edwards was involved in a hostage situation at the Battle Mountain Lodge in Sublette County.  When Deputy Edwards got inside the lodge a number of shots were fired from the inside and outside.  Deputy Edwards was shot and killed by one of the shots.
